To reduce our environmental impacts, AMPCO maintains and reviews the effectiveness of the pollution prevention and waste management programs.
AMPCO’s environmental monitoring program has defined the potable water and liquid effluent parameters (with frequency of monitoring and sampling locations) to verify conformance with World Bank criteria and guidance.
Similarly, the Waste Management Program provides guidance on proper handling and disposal of waste. This program helps ensure that the hazards to human health and potential impact to the environment are minimized – with a focus on reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery of waste being an essential part of the effort.
AMPCO contracts with a third-party solid waste management facility located in Equatorial Guinea for waste disposal, incineration and recycling. AMPCO and one of our parent companies vetted and approved the facility, which meets international standards and provides traceability for the disposed waste.
